Support Program
For individuals in the unfamiliar position of caring for aging loved
ones, eldercare specialists are available to listen, provide information
and help in planning ahead.
Senior Prescription Assistance Low-income older adults receive assistance in accessing free or low cost medications. This is a part of the Elder Support Program.
Senior Employment Program
Mature job seekers are provided with job search techniques, skills assessment,
seminars and job leads.
Nursing
Home Ombudsman Program
Trained volunteers and agency staff work to improve the quality of life
in nursing homes.
Guardianship
and Money Management Program
Volunteers help manage the health and well-being of vulnerable elderly
who the probate courts have determined to be incapacitated.
Money Management Volunteers provide daily money management services
for low income seniors.
RSVP This is the clearinghouse for volunteer activities for older adults. Foster Grandparent Program Low income older adults are paired with troubled, disabled or hospitalized children. A small stipend is provided. Off Our Rockers Program Volunteers mentor and tutor K-3rd graders, who need special attention in area schools. AGE – Advocacy Group for Elders Community members work together to develop and implement strategies to address issues affecting older people. Senior
Companion Program
Elderly with physical and emotional needs receive extra care from
low income older adults so they can be independent in their own homes.
A small stipend is provided to the senior companion. |
