Benefits Assistance
Get Help Enrolling
Our Benefits Assistance services are designed to give you a boost to your finances during times of need. We are a National Benefits Enrollment Center, which means we can assist people age 50+ with applying for the following programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicare Savings, Extra Help, and Medicaid. Eligibility for these benefit programs is based on income and assets, and we serve Dallas and Collin Counties. The application process can be challenging, but we have trained counselors to help manage the process step-by-step.
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- This benefit (which some people call Food Stamps) provides resources to pay for groceries.
- Medicare Savings
- This benefit can give you help paying for Medicare Part A and Part B, and in some cases it can pay for Part A and Part B deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.
- The four Medicare Savings Programs are:
- Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) Program
- Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) Program
- Qualifying Individual (QI) Program
- Qualified Disabled & Working Individual (QDWI) Program
- Extra Help
- The Medicare Part D “Extra Help” program provides assistance to lower or cut Part D (drug coverage) costs.
- Medicaid
- Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that gives health coverage to some people with limited income and resources.
